Improve the business climate of the community and
provide residents with opportunity to improve their standards of living through
a more diversified job base are two goals of the New London Community
Improvement Corporation.
The New London CIC was originally
formed in October 1967 and was given the official designation of the village's
agent for development.
Since then it has worked closely with local
businesses and industries to help with their development, and, with the help of
Huron County Development Council and Ohio Department of Development, promotes
the community to other businesses and industries looking for a location to set
up shop.
The CIC coordinates a revolving loan fund designed to aid
business, industry and industry in their development endeavors.
Creating
more jobs and improving the community are the main part of CIC's mission.
Members of the CIC are local and area business, industry and government
representatives who volunteer their time and efforts to the agency and give it
direction.
