THE GREAT LAKES COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP HOME WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (hwap) OFFERS FREE ENERGY-SAVING UPGRADES TO ELIGIBLE RESIDENTS OF WOOD, SANDUSKY, OTTAWA, SENECA, ERIE AND HURON COUNTIES. THESE UPGRADES MAY INCLUDE WALL AND ATTIC INSULATION, NEW LIGHT BUBS, FURNACE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT, AND OTHER MEASURES DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THE HOME'S ENERGY USAGE AND LOWER UTILITY COSTS FOR RESIDENTS.

THE HURON COUNTY COMMUNITY HOUSING IMPACT AND PRESERVATION (CHIP) PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITIES OF NORWALK AND WILLARD, PROVIDES NO-COST HOME REPAIRS OR REHABILITATIONS FOR ELIGIBLE HOMEOWNERS WHO RESIDE IN HURON COUNTY. REPAIRS MAY INCLUDE PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL,ROFF,FURNACE,ADA MODIFICATIONS,WATER HEATER,INSULATION AND OTHER NEEDS.
